That would be the right thing to do. They obviously feel it's worth alienating some of the membership (and throwing some of them under the bus) with a vague murmur of planning to think about maybe doing something different next year. Either because of crank publicity or their own GC attitudes.

My understanding is they sort through the nominations and the recipients each have a few paragraphs written about them for the magazine. Hence calling it a feature. I appreciate the significance of the awards and certainly didn't mean it in the way you've taken. There's no basis to exclude by ASAB.

They had the opportunity in that case to withdraw the feature and explain why. They didn't *have* to proceed with a discriminatory policy to satisfy bigots. They are complicit.

Cycling UK is a transphobic organisation and I cannot in good conscience remain a member. I will be cancelling my Direct Debit shortly and returning my membership card.

It's not yet enough to make me complain because I live on a noisy road and can tolerate it, but they have definitely added to my stress levels. Never had this with the last tenant over twelve years or so.
