What John Green says in this NY Times interview about his new tuberculosis book is simply infuriating. The decision to stop funding treatment for TB, which kills 1M ppl every year, is not going to end well, esp. if its drug-resistant forms come back here.

Mothers with HIV would transmit it to their infants at birth if not for perinatal antiviral treatment.
