It's a bit confusing this year with 2 "National Prayer Breakfasts" (jonathanlarsen.substack.com/p/the-nation...). House-led one's on C-SPAN since Trump will speak. As usual, they have Dem to co-lead it. Rep. Jonathan Jackson is Dem this year, showing #ChristianNationalism remains bipartisan problem.

The organization that runs the NPB was founded as an explicitly partisan, anti-New Deal force that considered FDR’s Democratic Party to be working in leagues with labor unions and Satan (which for many, was the same as saying “Jews”). So this is hardly new, if still bad. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Trump at the National Prayer Breakfast: "I don't know how a person of faith can vote for a Democrat. I really don't. *crowd groans* I know we have some here today. I don't know why they're here, because they certainly don't give us their vote ... they cheat."

Making it make sense: Epstein wasn't a global mastermind. He did not orchestrate a vast conspiracy that led us to today.

He was a very rich man with connections to other very rich men. The shared culture of these men is that they have a right to dominate and abuse others without consequence.

8. I would be remiss if I did not mention that the Epstein files shows the extent to which old political alliances are compromised. It’s depraved. It is also unfortunately capitalism. Tech elite has the money to shape public opinion and intervene in state law because of that cabal of exploitation.

It is not just this administration, it's whole communities. Spreading rumors to instill fear so they can sway our vote. Boycott a business. Maintain order. Create laws. Providing video evidence to support their claims makes the news. Erases doubt. Confirmation bias is triggered.

Returning to this, when Walsh said that Pretti “absolutely had it coming,” I don’t really think he just meant the flimsy excuse of Pretti somehow threatening law enforcement.

I think it’s a deeper, a priori claim that anyone who would dare to stand up for immigrants against this regime should die
