Last night I saw democracy in action. The Center School shaped my family—my husband, my son, my niece, and my nephew. As relocation plans move forward, students, parents, and teachers asked for time and real partnership. I’m committed to fighting to make sure they’re heard.

Walking through Columbia with my kids used to be a meaningful part of our routine. Now we pass locked gates and heavy security, and our neighborhood feels more divided. Neighbors trying to reach medical care and families just trying to get home deserve better.

On MLK Day, I stood with Westgate tenants and elected officials to call out A&E Realty for years of neglect. Housing justice is a civil right. No one should live without heat, safety, or dignity in their own home.

Over 200 people gathered at Columbus Circle for an interfaith vigil honoring Renee Nicole Good and the at least 36 lives lost because of ICE since January 1, 2025.
