From Norn Irn. Happy with complex national identity, unhappy with Brexit. #Breturn
Engineering degree, Development, Sales, Product Management & 12 yrs as MD
Also BA & MA History, just because: decolonisation in Africa, nationalism, Ireland/UK
Having skimmed the paper my tldr interpretation is:
VCs & boards (esp new ones) became intoxicated with self-image as ‘big businesses’ & spent money on buildings & marketing bs like they were Jeff Bezos. Twats.

If this major diversion from EU standards is accurate, I would ask if anyone involved in UK Govt. has factored in the ‘dominoes’ that will likely happen in Northern Ireland?

You can’t continue to build up the Irish Land/Sea borders without nasty consequences, you know.

The dreaded PPE at Merton College.

(I can’t see how you learn anything at all cramming Politics, Philosophy & Economics into a 3 year undergraduate degree. And given the track record of Truss and Matt ‘Cheltenham Death Races 2020’ Hancock (also PPE Oxford) I think Oxford should shut it down.

Wonder how he achieved his career move: banker to wanker?
Did it involve castling, or is there some old bankers & wankers network at the London Business School.

If you’re in France it had been hard to get good mashing spuds.
French potatoes are generally ’waxy’, whereas mash needs a more floury potato.

Need a VED (car tax) element added, based on weight.
Very simple to plan & introduce.
(Except for dealing with Clarkson, the Mail and the ‘war on motorists’ bollocks)

I guess people weren’t paying attention at the beginning of ‘Gladiato’.

Depends. If the destination is the pub, sure.
Anywhere else, no.

Leveson 2. Was (Is) such an obvious step.

Listened to a Short History of Florence Nightingale podcast today while painting doors.
It seems Flo was principally a dedicated manager who tried to get relevant resources well organised and to the right place.

‘Equal Opportunities Employer’ doesn’t mean hiring people who can’t do the job, Howell. That’s MAGA style propaganda about ‘DEI’.
It means hiring someone fit for the job without discrimination on irrelevant factors - and maybe ensuring someone who can do the job can get in the building.

I take it that you feel ‘disinterested‘ is already lying dead on the field at Isandlwana.

Sec of War Crimes, Hegseth, is drinking so much that other supply is constrained (and White House ‘transactions‘ are generally ‘off the books’)?

The history of the aftermath of the My Lai massacre suggests very little jail time for very few individuals.

The anglicism in France that has been annoying me greatly atm is “Black Friday”.
Va te faire foutre, Jeff Bezos.

Hard to believe this insipid record is the same song as the Kim Carnes version.
