I do see your point, but in several cases democrats have introduced legislation to amend those issues only for it to be stopped dead when it receives no support from across the isle.

No,I definitely have. I guess my whole thing is that democrat policies are generally not unfavorable to marginalized people when compared to their republican counterparts.

Okay, well, that guy is definitely belligerent, but I would still argue people weren't being harmed by Democrat policies in your situation so much as democrat inaction against Republicans.
