Some really good stuff in there (e.g. boost to SCP for children under 1; widening access to summer sports). But, at a time when the public has little faith in the next Scot Govt to deliver on their priorities, the Budget again failed to connect spending to delivery of FM's 4 key priorities End/

The additional council tax bands are welcome but important to stress that this doesn't begin to substitute for genuine reform of local taxation. Look forward to numbers being crunched but the revenue boost to some local authorities is likely to be minimal (and wont be game changing anywhere) 3/

relative to rUK, Scots earning between £15k - £35k pay £24 to £40 less tax a year. Those earning £50k and over pay at least £1,496 more. Median taxpayer pays much less than counterparts in Nordic and Benelux countries (i.e. countries SG ministers aspire to replicate) 2/
