Verily, there would be a place in the heavens for one who did, and I say unto you that their blanking interval would always be free from interference and all their frames complete in the eyes of the gods.

Rated for all M-class planets!

Chidi's explanation of death was one the most legit comforting things I've ever heard though. Although his comedic high point had to be the "God is dead" monologue/freak out.

I'm using one of these to trigger silent running mode in an Elite Dangerous macro-keyboard thing I'm building. Silent running kills your spaceship's shields and starts a potentially dangerous internal heat buildup, so its something you genuinely don't want to do by hitting the wrong button!

I always thought the planet in the movie wasn't his home planet, but a mostly left to its own devices mining colony Ra visits occasionally in his spaceship, which is better way to move large amounts of ore in bulk versus having to redial a gate every 38 minutes.

Soaps really should just normalize this like the theater does: a little title card at the start of the episode that says "In tonight's performance, the role of Mr. Smuckles will be played by Frank Cheswisk, F.R.S.A."

Not a direct strike, but it's designed to handle the EMP effects of an attack, with things like relying on analog flight instruments and controls versus the highly computerized flight systems in normal modern planes.

It's easy! 1) At least one item of outwear must be "tactical." 2) Sees medical professionals only when immediate surgical intervention required for injury. 3) Despite never having taken a flying lesson, has a better than 85% chance of landing a passenger plane when crew incapacitated.
