There are some positives to takeaway. Master Sol, but his story ended here. Qimir, his ultimate fate is undecided but any character who can ‘nut’ a lightsaber, gets my vote. This leads to the fight choreography, which was second to none. With episode 5 ‘Night’ being the standout of the season.

Unfortunately, The Acolyte is the most poorly written live action Star Wars, to date. In my opinion, this show could not make the audience emotionally invest in many of the leading characters. When this happens, people will fail to care, which has been the case.

While Starfighter is a standalone, I do think some story bridging could be in place for Rey’s film, set 10 years later. Possibly the introduction of the villains that Mia Goth’s character is part of, that are trying to stop the formation of the New Jedi Order.

Luthen’s monologue to lonni, as we know is outstanding. Stellan should have got an award for his portrayal. Also, Galen’s holo message to Jyn. As a father to a daughter, that scene tears me up every time.

Star Wars is a genre unto itself. It already contains elements of horror, action-adventure, comedy and romance. Producing a film to give Vader free rein to slice and dice is not in the spirit of Star Wars.
