Centrist. All political parties in Australia need a big kick up the rear. Issue, not partisanship. Fed ICAC now the NACC is a major disappointment

I think we need a compromise on the Gulf of Mexico.

Gulf of TACO should be acceptable to both sides

I did see some info a while ago, can't find the source where the max quoted was 1.8-2.0 g/kg/day. It stated for the average person it was 0.8-1.0, top athletes were 1.4-1.6. The 1.8-2.0 quoted was for people who had suffered severe burns

A sci-fi book, might be foundations by Isaac Asimov, in it someone wanted to know how arithmetic worked. No one knew. Eventually he tracked down an old professor that could explain it. This stuck me as calculators, recently introduced to schools, and there effect was obvious. I feel AI will be worse

No, electrical goods!

From the guardian,
"the US imported US$1.4m (A$2.23m) of products from Heard Island and McDonald Islands in 2022, nearly all of which was “machinery and electrical” imports."

That is easy

Your bill goes down when you power the grid with nuclear energy but only supply enough that it only meets 33% of the demand

Trump is getting what he wanted, a more united Europe, and turning America into the Isolated States of West Russia.

I wonder how long it will take conservative American's to realise that it comes with a massive price tag

What choice did they have, the EO banned them from govt buildings - can't enter a court to defend yourself and if someone else represents them, new EO.

It is extortion, and it should chill anyone with a brain that Trump is writing EO's to target a single company. Pure and simple it's fascism

I get a medicine that I pay $30 for, the govt pays $1200, in America the price is $5500

They want the PBS to pay the American price.

They are also upset that they are locked out of the market for some medications; they aren't listed on the PBS as the govt can buy them cheaper elsewhere

Mmmm, I wonder

Dems need to chose a leader for the next presidential election now. Then chose a core leadership group who decides strategy and the rest fall in behind.

ATM they are a rabble, falling over each other. This is only going to get worse in 2yrs with all of the snipping during preselection

You mean the Isolated States of West Russia

I agree ALP has been a disappointment, but the LNP are a disaster. As the Juice Media says the LNP are the $hit party and the ALP are the $hit lite

Just don't elect a mini Trump that will roll over and give him everything he wants
March 19, 2025 at 7:06 AM
I wouldn't worry about Trump too much

We have a trade deficit with America, tariffs will hurt them more. US only makes up 6% of our exports so it isn't significant. We're already picking up more trade due to Trump antics

We will feel it if the global economy crashes

US meat trade days away from getting 'kicked out' of China
Hundreds of abattoirs in the United States are at risk of being banned from exporting meat to China, because their export licences are due to expire this weekend.
