For a few days every February, Horsetail Falls in Yosemite catches the sunset just so (lighting the water, as the cliff face falls into shadow) and appears to be on fire.

I was playing around with Chat GPT, and thought I'd see what it knows about lasers (something I happen to know a lot about). At one point, it volunteered to produce a diagram for me. It came up with this curiosity. If I can find a DISTRUBITED FEFAABRSTICK MODUIATED LASER, I might make a lightsaber.

I’ve just started Spanish classes, at the local university. I’m signed up for wing foil lessons, and my son is challenging me to improve my chess skills. In the meantime, each of these guitars that I build from scratch teaches me something new, and inspires me to learn a song or riff to show it off.
