You are confusing 2 things. A stamp duty and a capital gains tax. It matters not 1 jot who pays stamp duty, the amount the seller clears will remain the same. As will the overall amount the buyer pays.

The abolition of stamp duty will have 2 consequences. Firstly a reduction in govt revenue. Secondly a corresponding increase in house prices. Who benefits? House builders. Who loses? The rest of us due to less govt revenue. What a well thought through policy! Genius!

The Guardian lists 18457 names of Gaza's children killed in Israel's genocidal assault on Gaza.This shames Israel.This shames our govt for its complicity. Every one of these children had parents,probably brothers & sisters too.All of them had their future stolen.

Not sure we should be surprised at Israel's actions as they're proud of their genocide in Gaza. The Guardian should describe the hijacking of the flotilla as precisely that,& not an interception. As for Israel respecting all rights? A laughable claim.

Visit Cornwall isn't/wasn't the Cornwall Tourist Board it was a self appointed organisation sponsored by the tourist industry. In recent years it encouraged over tourism & as some warned that would kill the goose that laid the golden egg. It has. No sympathy.

They keep at least 500,000 empty.

While there are more than 1 million 2nd homes which are empty 95% of the time.
