Seeing surprise (or is it just frustration?) from fans/media that the Pirates aren't competing in free agency. Wrote this a year ago. Why expect anything else? This is who the Pirates are under Bob Nutting, until proven otherwise.

Roki Sasaki was 9 when a tsunami destroyed his hometown. His father and grandparents died, as did 18,000 others along Japan's northeast coast.
