I get what you’re saying but a lot of my game playing feels compulsive and sort of unsatisfying in a way that my watching of movies or reading of novels does not.

I just watched it again for the first time since the mid 00s and fuck it’s even better than I remembered.

Humpy’s heating up, I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people later this season.

It’s a really bizarre trajectory — we get Baby Bond then immediately Washed Bond and then at the Skyfall ending we get the classic M office, Moneypenny is back, it’s a return to the original status quo. Then the next one is, “What if Bond retired?”

Straw Dogs is the film, I believe.

it's also just a statistical cheat: relative change when you start with small quantities is not very meaningful. if you buy 1 lottery ticket and then buy 99 you've increased your odds of winning 100x but they're still basically 0.

You wish you lived in Night City?

Sports already bring me nothing but agony, I don’t get why people amplify that with fantasy.

What's crazy is that 2001 actually felt a little subdued compared to the few E3s before it (I started going in 1999); the dot com bubble was bursting by '01 and companies were scaling back.

This is so sick. Is there good MISTer support for arcade hardware?

My absolute favorite recurring bit is that a guy will come in, buy a ton of Star Wars figures, then 6 months later he trades them all in because he’s switched to GI Joe. He only gets half what he paid in store credit, so he’s basically just leasing action figures.

Have you seen the YouTube channel Toy Federation? It’s basically Pawn Stars for a retro toy store and is full of absolute Guys. It’s mostly action figures.

Now that everyone finally came over here it's good. Twitter is barely usable at this point.

The good news is that if she’s on antibiotics for strep she’s probably not contagious anymore.

c. 2003, I had two separate instances where I was reading (unrelated books) in public and strangers approached me and asked if I’d read Da Vinci Code. What I’m saying is it absolutely counts for IBCK.

This is the same logic the GameStop apes have: “Great, the price is down, now it’s cheaper to buy more shares.”

Everytime I get frustrated at the city and Sound Transit for the delays (which are mostly their fault) I remember that it’s still a better transit system than the majority of American cities.

I lived in Phoenix for 18 months and the summers there were unbearable to me, much worse than Seattle winters. You really can’t do anything outside when it’s 110 F. But when it’s 55 F and a little misty? It’s totally fine.

I grew up in San Diego and thought I would go insane not having the sun but it’s actually fine. The sun comes out most days, the rain is usually light, and we get almost no snow. Winters are cool but not freezing, you can go outside and stuff just fine!
