My passions are tennis and music. Give me those or give me death. Or Elon Musk's head fresh from the guillotine.
Molloy? Sure is. 😁

Thanks for this! Heading to Limerick tomorrow and appreciate getting some extra context on the tie. C’mon the Irish! 🇮🇪

There are so many factors. I guess I thinking more about the whole tournament than just Carlos. We are gaslighted into thinking everything is still fresh and everyone is rested come Australia, but multiple injuries and retirements later we remember 2025 only just ended.

It’s mad. How can these injuries be happening after the players had a whole 5 minutes for their off season? They gotta look at themselves.

Completely agree. Stephen all the way for me. Not just because of his name.

Any serving tips? How long in the oven and at what temp? We need a cookbook.

Certainly the Sharon Tate aspect is the weakest point of the film, but sometimes I like a plotless meander if it’s entertaining enough. I’d be interested in your thoughts on Battle.

Ah that’s interesting, I really loved him in Hollywood, although I’m not a big QT fan at all. But absolutely, he has it all. What did you make of him in One Battle?
December 20, 2025 at 12:25 PM
Yes for sure. Look at Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and One Battle After Another. He is hilarious in both. Although of course he is blessed with being able to work exclusively with some of the best writers these days.

Incredible. The hilarity of that scene and the devastation of that final bedroom scene shows the strength of those actors. I might have to watch this over Christmas!

Gotta say, I prefer the Beckett quote. Better to outsource your poetry, Stan!

Agreed. Also Margot Robbie’s breakout role. I feel like she’s gone on to do a few things since.

It’s an incredible frenetic wild ride, but then it slows everything right down for the last 20 minutes or so, things suddenly becomes serous and desperately unfunny, and Scorsese flips the mirror at the audience and we are forced to reckon with what we just laughed at for 150 minutes. Masterful!

Since the default settings in my brain are set to believe it’s still somewhere between 2010-2019, I read this and automatically thought “he will be back fit for the clay season”.

No-one wants to be the first, or even the second. Therefore, the bravery of Da Silva and Brunold cannot be understated. It makes it easier for the third.

Quiet, subtle, terrifying Pesci is a joy to behold in that film.

I met my partner on Bumble in May 2021. We couldn’t sit in or go anywhere so we just had walking dates. Despite all expectations, we are very happy.

The scenes after the Irish and Scottish victories are like a tonic in this shitty world. As everyone seems to be clamouring to get back to club football, I long to stay in this warmer, less cynical place. Club football is a cold world.

I had you muted because I didn’t want spoilers. Had to wait until tonight to watch it. UK Season 2 was about 100 times better than this ending.

Why should people be compensated for their piss poor reading?
