I've done what I can for my children. Anything left over that's not spent in my lifetime will be subject to whatever tax regime exists. I don't plan to do anything aggressive to 'save' tax- it's an acceptable cost to live in a civilised country.

I should give up trying to second guess some voters. As you say, we will see in future elections (although I'm not convinced council votes are always the same as national ones).

He was a horrible snob, however some of his books were/are fantastic; the twisted humour and horrible people. Decline and Fall and A Handful of Dust for example.

I just don't understand why he isn't held accountable by much of the electorate
Either:
-didn't have the country's best interests at heart, OR
-he was a very bad decision maker.
So either malicious or foolish. In either case surely not someone who should be anywhere near the levers of power?

The Lib Dems plus Labour would not have held a majority in 2010, the combined number ,315, would have fallen short of the 326 needed for a majority.
