That's THE LOST BUS. Lost. Not LAST. LOST.

Our local pharmacy recently shut down for good. Relocating our business entirely to the only other local pharmacy that actually honored their "walk in anytime" vaccination signage, after two others with the same claims shut us down completely.

"Health care" in America is so fucked.

Saw Paul Greengrass's latest in a favorite local theater, THE LAST BUS (2025); recommended.

That's how young Michael used to sign off in his letters to his Mom from camp or traveling. Marj put it on the stone, a last love letter to/from our son.

Stephen Miller froze on camera, shut up, & broke off the interview when he said the President has plenary authority. THAT is truly what the Republicans believe: they now have ALL the power, 75 million Americans who voted for the other candidate have NONE. Period. www.law.cornell.edu/wex/plenary_...

I've never, ever had a tomato plant take over like this. One humble plant; over 40 tomatoes all over this triffid (none yet ripening, all green still). I'll have to do something with this beauty before this week brings nights of frosts...

Our son Michael's stone, aging already as autumn is upon us.

Michael, we miss you & your family more than words can express; this hole in our souls—it'll never be filled, though we're learning to live without as good, kind, giving, loving, incredible person as you in this world. Love you forever.

I think it was a late-night/very early Sunday morning TV showing of THE BRAINIAC (1962) that really made me who I am today, for better or worse.

TWITCH OF THE DEATH NERVE aka BAY OF BLOOD Bava fans, rejoice! This is from this 1939 book, & it's... the Squonk!

At last, the truth revealed!

The 'shutdown' limbo tweets from our Prez are... well, they're insane, in a word. As, I fear, is our President.

Ya, it's... really, really disturbing, on oh so many levels.

When do you reckon this sign will be pulled down from our U.S. Military Academy?

I wrote at length about this years ago: after 1969, Stan Lee was corporate insurance, period. America shamelessly, slavishly worships grifters, more now than any point in my lifetime I can recall.

No longer impossible to believe their are actually "Americans" in power in gov't today who long for these kind of 'good old days' & are actively bringing 'em back, with violence, which infuriates & nauseates anyone paying attention. It's beyond comprehension.

"Pre-Code horror comics" means more than you think it does.

Favorite low-point of the week thus far:
RFK Jr. sneezing on El Presidente.
S'not a bad start.

Well, well—finally, a roof being put on the new Windsor Diner! Great to see some breakthrough labor on the Diner at long last.
