I don't really care how he was radicalized or for what reason. The problem is not the specific ideas that caused this person to kill Kirk it is that any ideas did.

There are 400 million guns in America. Gun legislation will never change that reality. If you outlawed guns tomorrow there is no means by which those guns could be magically removed. A system didn't kill his daughter or Charlie Kirk. A person did.
