Funny thing is the Pacers weren’t tanking then, even though they should now. For the game they were fined, they were 5-5 in the previous 10 games and on the second night of a back to back with 3 games in 4 days. The NBA calls that load management now or something silly like that.

Like why are you arguing if he’s the best QB of that draft class? Seems like a general waste of both of our time since we clearly view them differently.

Why?

I also think you don’t understand my argument. I didn’t say he doesn’t deserve to be in the HOF. I simply said he wasn’t a 1st ballot guy for a number of reasons.

Ben gets in his first SB because of a shoestring tackle of a DB who was literally stabbed in the leg earlier that week after a GL fumble then had the best PK that year push a gimme FG wide right in IND. In the ARI SB game, Harrison’s 99 yard TD kept that game close. Both were incredibly lucky.

Sure they aren’t supposed to consider it but they do. Eli played on less talented teams. Ben’s teams were loaded and well coached. Ben was carried to two SBs by great teams. If he doesn’t win those SBs, both due to fluky luck, he’s not even in this conversation. Rivers is better than Ben, IMO.

Gronk for sure. Likely AP. Not sure about Big Ben or Sherman on 1st ballot. Ben was the 3rd best QB of his draft class (Manning still waits) and had off field issues. AP had off field issues. Sherman was HOF level for 3-4 years with the LOB but trailed off as they went away. Are those years enough?

Yeah… it’s called pass interference. Miami’s entire defensive game plan is to mug the Indiana WRs and hope the officials won’t call it on every play. So far it’s worked. Officials are scared because Miami is trying to make them the focus of the game.
