I’m moving along well, getting comfortable with Affinity 3. My workflow can be adapted nicely and; the book design and layout work I do can make especially attractive books that are easy on readers’ eyes. I’m running a bit of a pre-Spring sale on my services if anyone has a book ready for prepress.

… “Sutainable” is a b.s. term if you refuse to sign the players to get to a place worth sustaining. Stearns apparently has yet to learn that—despite him starting out in NY originally—a winner in NY will make $3 for every$1 or $2 spent on winning ballplayers.

… It was Cohen who got Soto’s deal done for the Mets last year, not Stearns, who just seems to refuse to grow with his new circumstances and reality. He doesn’t “believe” in 4- or 5- year deals—for pitchers, especially. We’re going to be stuck with Maneas and Montases as long as Stearns is here. …

It’s time to fire David Stearns. I didn’t like the hire to start with, but thought, Okay, give him a chance. Well, he’s proven he’s just not up to the job with a major market team. He’s still stuck in a small cap mentality, where he won’t utilize the available financial advantage he’s got. …

… Thoughts? Anyone else contemplating or even in the actual process of moving their for-profit working book design or graphic design studio over to Affinity from Adobe? If so, how’s the move going? How are you liking Affinity and just the process of getting used to new software?
