A reminder that tickets are now available for all my Halloween and Christmas shows at London's Dickens Museum! Choose from THE SIGNAL-MAN & THE TRIAL FOR MURDER, THE HAUNTED MAN and the immortal CHRISTMAS CAROL before they sell out: dickensmuseum.com/blogs/all-ev...
Graphic for THE SIGNAL-MAN & THE TRIAL FOR MURDER: a man in undertaker's weeds disappearing into a black void. Graphic for THE HAUNTED MAN: a semi-transparent man in Victorian dress against a starry sky. Graphic for A CHRISTMAS CAROL: a leonine door knocker on a maroon background.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I only knew John from his social media postings. He seemed a lovely man.

I held my breath on a number of occasions.

I’m the same. I love horror films but my go to music is folk or classical. Metal does nothing for me.

I was listening at home via headphones. I could have sworn I heard the walkie-talkies twice during the Sibelius. Great performance though.

I fail to understand how Chope is allowed to filibuster and not even speak to the bill in question.

Don’t look now has just started on BBC4, the opening sequence is among the most dazzling in cinema history. I never tire of watching it. Christie’s scream at the climax of the scene is utterly chilling.

I am up to page 112 of HORROR MOVIE by @paultremblay.bsky.social . I am unnerved and disturbed in equal measure. ‘I can’t go on. I’ll go on.’

Oh yes, same here. I don’t comfort watch Doctor Who any more (that’s for classic horror), but I would always want a few stories on my shelves just in case.

I’ve never done a cinema screening before, it was great fun. Very well behaved audience who still gasped and applauded at the right moments.
