I’m excited to work with Jeff Spokes on Wonder Woman #29 & #30. I love the Amazons, so I’m always down to visit Themyscira.

It’s bittersweet. My bf loved Diana and was my biggest supporter when I was working on Nubia. Although he is no longer here, I still hear his excitement. Love you, Aaron 🫂

The root of my inspiration.

Roots of Madness FOC is today! Issue #1 drops October 1st!
I spent years in laboratories, measuring precise reactions and documenting predictable outcomes—a research scientist following a path that meant security, stability, and survival. When I left that life to pursue creative writing, I became the first in my family to transform their survival lessons into tools for dreaming. My family taught me resilience, strategic thinking, how to stretch resources and navigate systems not built for us—skills they honed for getting by, which I repurposed for reaching beyond. The discipline they used to maintain stability became my foundation for taking creative risks. The careful observation they employed to avoid danger became my method for building new worlds. It felt like stepping into a void while carrying a compass made from their wisdom, reshaping generational knowledge meant for protection into instruments for exploration. Roots of Madness emerged from this alchemy of survival and ambition. Etta Knight embodies this transformation: a brilliant chemist in 1905 who takes the healing knowledge her ancestors preserved through slavery and reconstruction and dares to push it further than they ever imagined. When she discovers an otherworldly flower, she applies her scientific training and inherited wisdom to unlock its secrets, believing she can honor her roots while transcending their boundaries. But in that space where survival knowledge meets cosmic ambition, she learns that some transformations exact a price from every generation that follows. This is a story about the delicate art of honoring where you come from while reaching for the impossible, about what happens when you're the first to alchemize survival into dreams. It's about discovering that sometimes the very wisdom that helps us soar also awakens hungers our ancestors were wise enough to leave sleeping.
