if I had to guess it's probably something to do with the fact that casting was only 2 years after 9/11/01 so it was a pretty hostile environment for Iraqi's anywhere around the US.. but if you ask my friend Hailey she'd tell you it's definitely because he's the most beautiful man she's ever seen.
