It was a wild time to be in the MSFT game studio! Aside from Bungie and Ensemble the game teams were divided by genre, not by studio identity. I was the part of FASA that got dropped in the RTS group. Thankfully Halo CE hit big and the studio model took over. We were all just figuring it out then.

I tried so hard to teach my mom how to use the Aeropress. Ended up buying instant coffee packets for her.

I thought it had aged pretty well on my recent viewing, some unfortunate Shane Black "comedy" notwithstanding. Mostly it made me wonder why Carl Weathers wasn't able to break out as a true action star of the era. So much screen presence! He deserved better than to be second fiddle to Arnie and Sly.
