In related news, fuck the Reddit bros claiming you can’t possibly get good results out of the cinestill 2-bath color developing kit. Not a CS shill but I will not stand for the slander.

I love bringing a prop into a photobooth! A camera is a great one but even a hat can be enough to create a sort of story with the series that doesn’t rely on just making different faces (i think it helps distract me from the mind-blank self conscious feeling too!)

My mediocre scanning setup and Bluesky’s image compression don’t do justice even. I highly recommend trying out this film yourself!

Yeah and if it’s anything like my 90s canon SLR, that viewfinder doesn’t offer ANY help on manual focus!!! I’ve been trying to remember to just shoot with smaller aperture when I can to help sharpen things up when I know my eyes will fail me. I still miss focus a lot when shooting manual focus tho

lol yeah I can send you some of the YouTube investigations I’ve devoured haha.

I still haven’t tried that cinestill 800T but maybe I’ll pick some up and we can compare notes ✨

Yeah Fuji stopped selling their old Superia formula in the US in the last couple years which is why I ask! If you get Fuji 400 it’s (suspected to be) respooled ultramax from Kodak!

Such a gamble handing a manual focus situation to a friend too. these shots are so cute tho!

Have you got old superia or newer fuji 400? Excited to see you getting back into film!!

Taken on my Fujica STX-1, with a new-to-me f/3.5 28mm lens which has become my new go-to. The last photo in this set was taken on the old 50mm with a 2x teleconverter.

Who says you can’t shoot ISO 25 film at blue hour!

Just picked up more of this film yesterday, felt really inspired by the first roll and really enjoying the printing challenges the high contrast makes.
