I drive because I have to, I cycle because I like it. Where I live it's quicker and far less stressful to cycle into town and I don't have to hunt around to find a place to pay £5 an hour to park.

Things used to be better when I had no responsibilities and my knees didn't hurt.
From what I remember the '70s weren't bad but I'm white, heterosexual, male, lower middle class etc. Had any of these been different, I'm sure my experiences would have been, too.
