Trying to make the Christian faith the servant of a racist party is a wicked heresy.
Not well reported, but the Joint Issues Team (covers a number of major denominations) have issued statements on previous attempts to co opt the faith to support hatred.

I worked on a bid for an early version of this a few years ago. One of the most appropriate sites I can think of.
I don't know the current scheme, and perhaps there are issues, but that it has taken 5+ years and still nothing built is inexcusable.
People need a home to feel part of society.

Agreed. I'm not after huge changes, but we used to get a BAPA in place in 2 to 4 weeks 15 years ago. Now it is about that in months. APAs much longer as above.
Also the default for schemes that have to go through Gateway 2 should be no permanent works design submissions, just temp and RAMS

Not to take anything away from your position, but "less calories"? Isn't it time we deported Daily Fail headline writers for their poor grasp of English?

We also need changes to railway approval requirements which stall so many schemes. Taking 18 months just to get NR to sign an agreement to review documents is not unknown now. Reviewing and agreeing the documents themselves can take as long again.

The Adamant book are my favourite series of yours at the moment so it is good to hear this.

Some casual racism affected a lot of my generation (57), and I have posted before about how impressed I was in the early 80s when a boy at my school explained that he had been on an Anti Nazi League march. Caused me to stop and think. Shame Farage never seems to have had a similar reality check.
