Although when making our own olive oil I prefer [the variety] Farga, when it comes to the #olives that we sell, Empeltre is king! It was literally raining olives today, as the pedicel (the stalk) of Empeltre breaks readily, allowing for a speedy harvesting of the trees…

With such a bright moon overhead, I thought I’d dig out my old #Pentax 300mm and stick it on a [slightly less old] crop sensor #Canon 30D, giving an equivalent focal length of 480mm. I should really have got out the tripod too, but in the end I just rested on the balcony railings…

Quite annoyed at myself for dropping the submersible pump. I tried to repair it, but the seals didn’t hold & the motor flooded. Faced with a seized pump, I did my usual routine of stripping it down & harvesting any useful parts.
I do find motor/generator windings things of beauty…

Quite annoyed at myself for dropping the submersible pump. I tried to repair it, but the seals didn’t hold & the motor flooded. Faced with a seized pump, I did my usual routine of stripping it down & harvesting any useful parts.
