From the countryside of Wales, just outside Cardiff U.K.
Son of a coal miner (now deceased) who encouraged me to pursue education as much as possible. Think I’ve got a good idea of the problems we face. Not so arrogant as to know all the answers.
I will commend Laura Kuenssberg (BBC) on her political show yesterday during her interview with Farage. She didn’t buckle under his bullying tactics (an expression used by actor Brian Cox) whilst dismantling his claims to stop ‘boat crossings’ in 2 weeks.

U.K. I note a heck of a lot of pundits, columnists, ‘journalists’ (I use that term with scepticism) are predicting the doom and gloom of an inevitable Reform U.K. Govt. Inevitable ? Not if they do there jobs properly…..

Tariffs: I’m reminded of a former leader here in the U.K. - Margaret Thatcher. Interest rates went through the roof, a lot of small businesses struggled. A great time however for the ‘big boys’ with plenty of money to come along and swallow up such desperate businesses/entrepreneurs for a pittance.

Anybody know how many personnel have been sacked in Musk’s work force in his drive for efficiency and savings ? (re: many vehicles recalled for faults)

I have to believe this was a set up (Zelensky/Trump at the White house). A reporter (?) sees fashion sense as a priority. And the Vice President openly usurps the President - who just looked on meekly. A President, looking weak, who seemed unable to control events and got swallowed up by them.
