Like, no, there was not a pedophile ring in DC but that always seemed like a really random claim to start using rhetorically to me. Looking at the Epstein files, it's like "oh, yeah, I see where they got the idea for this lie."

I really appreciated @howardbeck.bsky.social's reflections on this in the last Real Ones ep. Sports is my escapism, but it's always going to be the luxury of a stable and prosperous society and people really need to keep that perspective.
