The fact that there isn't anybody better than him isn't a +. It's certainly no reason for him not to resign and there are plenty of reasons for him to resign.
There are people to replace him. Rayner, Milliband and I expect some others waiting in the wings, eager to jump in.

Good effort David but you're wasting your time with that profile. I instantly block people like that, they've already made their decision to disagree with everything you say. They thrive on getting you to defend and explain yourself. Generally their aim is to just wear you out.

Without a doubt Ed, I think many of us have also predicted that they're going to eventually destroy themselves just like the tories did.
How can a party work together when they're so divisive, dishonest and factional.
