Built the apps Circle Alert (Safety Check In App) https://circlealert.com and Invitd (Easy Party Invitations) https://invitd.us
I’ve been playing around with FoxData lately and like it for the price. It’s fairly new so the feature set it growing.

Here’s a referral link since I might was well benefit if you try it out 😂

But I’d recommend it referral or not!

Welcome back Ariel! 😂

You bet! @arielmichaeli.bsky.social isn’t on here much but has a great YouTube channel for a ton of ASO info. He just did a live stream today that covers a lot of the common questions.

But…I hate Google Play’s rollout process. What feature would you want?

Beyond ASO I would look to optimize getting a rating from every new user since rating count has a huge impact on keyword rankings.

If you make changes to target specific keywords, give the App Store about three days for the algorithms to pick it up and then adjust. The key right now is defined popular keywords with low competition that you can rank in the top 10. Anything beyond top 10 will be useless.

Hey Nick, congrats on the launch!

Have you used an ASO tool yet? Those can give you insights on which keywords are popular and which could be challenging to rank for. I’d start there!

It is very hard, I’m still learning 10 years later 😂

I agree with AppTweak, you’ve validated that you have product market fit so it’s time to increase reach. Apple Search Ads are an easy lever, try using Advanced to target some specific keywords.

It’s terrible, especially the process of creating a release. Not to mention the random rules they implement and threaten to remove my app if I don’t comply.

Congrats!

Congrats! Time to move on to the next startup idea!

I’d be curious to see if you got any keyword rank bumps from the AppsGoneFree campaign and if those ranks immediately declined after the rating removal.
December 11, 2024 at 9:32 PM
That might happen, but rating velocity has a good impact on keyword rankings which could keep you higher even if they remove your ratings.
December 11, 2024 at 9:30 PM
Ariel should have a definitive answer but one mistake I’ve seen a lot is not prompting for an app rating. The initial launch bump will get you there, but getting ratings will help keep you from falling into the abyss after. Make sure 100% of your new users see the prompt when you launch.

Yep I used SkyFeed to create a feed which is essentially a RegEx to look at post texts. I used ChatGPT to help me create the RegEx.

But, so far the ASO Feed seems to be working!

I took another crack at Meta ads and had some good success, I couldn’t seem to get attribution working but looking back I had a noticeable bump in installs for a reasonable price. I plan of giving it another crack once I finish up another campaign.

The payments screen is especially slow!

You seem to have impressive usage on Subbify, I would start with your monetization strategy there. You should be making enough to pay the bills with that amount of usage.

You’re officially at a scale where small changes can make a big impact!
