Check me out on the actually-decentralized, federated social network that's not run by a corporation:

Good question. I remain blissfully ignorant of such matters. I don't know what ramifications his move may have, but it is certainly an interesting development.

Speaking of Gargron, did you hear that he is stepping down as CEO and transferring all his IP to a non-profit?

Fair enough. I just saw you posting on Mastodon recently and I thought to myself, "I haven't seen a gigantic wall of @ lalegault posts lately..." 😅

I know, I already follow you there, but you seem to be posting on here more these days. I just like to follow people from one place.

All I was trying to get you to do was two things:

1. Follow that brid.gy bot so that my Mastodon account can follow you here (done!)

2. Have you then follow my bridged Mastodon account instead of my BlueSky one (which I probably won't use much):

Acknowledged. Not trying to change that, just wanted to still follow you.

Wait. What? What are you actually trying to do here? I just wanted you to follow a bot from BlueSky.

Uh oh. But you don't actually need to do anything with Mastodon... It's all from the BlueSky side.

I still avoid that, especially when formatting JSON or XML because you can end up with values containing unescaped characters. I'll always go back to using a JsonWriter or XmlWriter implementation so I don't have to think about it.

That, or just serialize an object to JSON.
