Very excited about this Remix 3 Fetch Router demo by
@jim-nielsen.com
www.val.town/x/jimniels/f...
Remix 3 is still super early (and changing fast) but it's exciting how powerful this full-stack routing thing will be - seems like a perfect fit for val town
h/t @tylur.dev for finding this!

building a code editor in the browser is hard
huge kudos to @404wolf.bsky.social for making ours so good
this work is open-source, so you too can have amazing autocomplete, type information, go-to-definition, in your codemirror editor

We counted 6,575 💃 ("vals") before Bluesky asked me to stop
Every 15 minutes for the last couple months, we've been posting an increasingly insane number of vals. It's a testament to @jennschiffer.com's creativity and the permissiveness of the Bluesky API
RIP @counting-vals.bsky.social

What if Lovable, bolt, v0 were built in themselves?
The new Townie is 100% open-source and is itself built on Val Town. (It can edit itself!)
It's not for one-shot demos, but for building complex full-stack projects
Code, prompt, branch, pull request
Already always deployed

sometimes you just want to embed a val town user's profile pic, and in 24 lines of code, now you can!

i love this roll-your-own-saas app vibe
sometimes it's simpler to own a simple stack you 100% understand than to onboard to a fully-featured app

i made a free and hackable status page and uptime monitor, which will email you if your site has downtime
it's a val town project, so you can fork it & have it running in seconds
we just built forks and pull requests, so be one of the first ever to try them out! they're crazy fast!

One of my favorite authors – Robin Sloan who wrote Moonbound and Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore – made a cron val that helped him catch this solar storm
This is definitely the single best occasion for this emoji ever: 🤩

This val helps industrial robot programmers!
Fanuc robots (which are typically robot arms in factories) only have 1mb of working memory, so this visualization helps folks detect and delete unused parts of their programs
