2/2. The landfill operator seemed to be able to narrow the search area very quickly, and the search lasted only a few months. (You’re right in that the big discrepancy would seem to indicate a number of factors)

Much of it presumably is the length of time estimated for the search. That $184 was a maximum based on a three -year search, according to an independent feasibility study not connected to the prov gov. 1/2

Cindy Klassen pool has been my go-to. Lifeguards told me it’s 25 metres and the lane-swim section is open for many hours throughout the week. I’ve managed to get a lane to myself on Sundays. (although maybe I should practice in an overcrowded lane to simulate race-day conditions)
