My three main things for the week are:

- enrich 1000 home healthcare leads (just selling the data)

- launch a smaller campaign targeting agencies that need help with cold email

- write some social content I can use on here, Twitter (I know I know…), and eventually YouTube

I used to see them @ GGP botanical garden in the distance during covid fairly often - probably because there weren’t many people out in the early days of the pandemic (especially @ 6/7am).

GGP is pretty magical in the early morning

In hindsight after posting that’s 👆 a terrible example of personalization 😂 - they probably blasted that same message out to everyone on their list.

Time for more coffee…

Too much personalization can get risky - get it right and the email resonates but if you get it wrong you lose credibility instantly

Example: I got an email at my 9-5 that said something like “I see you’re hiring Java developers…”

1. We’re a python shop
2. We didn’t have any open roles at the time

Looks like the offers that work well have low switching costs, are easy to understand, have more prospects, and are easy to measure the value of.

Good things to keep in mind when finding clients for lead gen services!

Fractional CMO and Facility Management App have high switching costs and are tough to determine when they’re needed so I’d expect a low hit rate.

And graphic design always seems to be undervalued, which is a shame since it could be a big differentiator for companies.

I got one the other day that addressed me by the completely wrong name.

I bet they were using a CSV and the name column got misaligned with the rest of the columns.

Hopefully it was just bad data on my row…

At the rate AI content is coming out I’m sure it’ll be more and more of a differentiator as time goes on.

Funny that the barrier to entry for *authentic* content has never really changed (once platforms were in place) whereas the barrier to entry for junk keeps getting lower and lower…

Start with cold outreach if you have time and little money; it works fast.

Use ads when your product or offer is working and you have money to spend.

Content marketing takes time to kick in so start using it as soon as possible but don’t expect results immediately.
