Didn't Cloetta Plopp represent Belgium at 1972 Eurovision with Ninty Binty Slonty Bonty?

Lordy. Thought it was a new Mumford and Sons ‘drop’ at first

Unfortunately, I think we only have around 8000 photos. 🤣

Such a bizarre thing. I’m sure I read that it was some attempt at mimicry to try and trick them down. Just sounded like a tiny machine gun. Syd never did it, Nancy was a bugger for it
stevemorgan68.bsky.social
Getting a lot from talking about them here. Thanks for your kind words x

These cats seemed fairly hopeless at killing anything other than time. Across their 34-year collective tenure, we were treated to no more than a handful of ‘gifts’. Nancy, however, was brilliant at that funny noise they make when they watch birds out of the window.

Just remembering that time Syd and Nancy had Kermit round
My late dearly missed felines, tortoiseshell Syd (right) and tuxedo Nancy hear some of Kermit’s engaging tales

Thanks. They taught the family immeasurably more than we realised and I still haven’t got to that point where I have stopped ‘seeing’ them in every corner. I’m not sleep-deprived, but am quite a night owl; I so miss their company. Your Iggy looked like a real character x

It will be viewed in retrospect as the age of pea-sized hearts.
I want my renaissance back.

Garage folk does a good place-holding job. Must go, asparagus next left!

‘God bless America’ has let itself go. What an incredible photograph, from I think, the Chicago Sun Times.
Bone-chilling.
A pastor at a presbyterian church in Chicago is sprayed by ICE agents

Sorry, I had to be the ‘someone’ in someone had to make that gag(gle).

Did you go out for a gander?

Even the name Jenrick sounds as if it could be some villainous character plucked from the pages of Dickens or Shakespeare. That or a nasty ailment, like ringworm.

Great to wake up to this as something like the fifth item of news on the wireless.

I agree and sympathise - if it's any use I used to have professional dealings with a flatmate of his in his early musical days who worked in the theatre - she regularly raved about what a great bloke he was to live with - and how much he enjoyed his cooking.

Well, your writing and recommendations are utterly boss. Hope this works out!

I had always dreaded it, but I think it also bites hard because of the huge chunk of our lives they were here for; in every photo for 17 years, a constant. Kids grew up with them etc etc. All the best with your grief process, however you manage it.

It's a fascinating watch for the fashions, too, and some veteran big-hitting names - Elsa Lanchester, Joan Crawford, Ossie Davis. A young pup called Spielberg worked on some of them - don't know what happened to him.

I would imagine the title sequence alone would seem instantly familiar - all these dormant memories lying there for the cult TV sleeper agents! The tale that sprang to mind was The Escape Route - see if if you can find that. Chilling stuff. Won't spoilt it by explaining the story.

What an amazing man he was. Having always had vague ‘you shouldn’t be up watching this’ memories of The Night Gallery as a 70s kid, I zoomed through the box set during those seemingly endless lockdown weeks. Some of it was admittedly terrible, but there were a few stories that leave a bit on you.
