A zoomed-in, slow-motion of the Minneapolis video appears to show the shooter with his phone out. Was he recording? Will this video ever be released or seen?

A little meandering, but where else can you listen to Herzog go from talking about Nero marrying his slave boy Sporus to a conversation he had with Mike Tyson about Merovingian kings? Also provided me with an epigraph for a book I want to write one day.

An utter delight of a little book. I ate this up so fast. I am trying to read more "comfy" sci-fi, and this hits all those notes. There's commentary on war, identity, and rights, but it's not preachy or heavy-handed. It's a warm bowl of soup. #booksky

"Slouching Towards Bethlehem" by Joan Didion.
I recently watched the 2017 doc by Griffin Dunne (Didion's nephew). It's great. Going on a Didion run this year. I liked this, but not Maya Hawke's read. Too wispy. But writing is terrific.
