Response to Prop 312 was inevitable. Cities fail to address the driver of homelessness (i.e housing) & now they resort to shifting cost burden to county, police & fire dept's. Increasing costs to taxpayers & punishing people who, as humans, have a necessary right to sleep. Moral & Policy failure.
Urban camping is now a crime in Tempe punishable by jail time and thousands of dollars in fines, according to an announcement from the city saying it would enforce a ban on sleeping or setting up structures like tents in public spaces. www.azcentral.com/story/news/l...

Today, Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez proposed a new task for to look at electoral reforms which could break up the two party system in Congress, expand the number of House districts, and move the House to a form of proportional representation.

It's a very, very good idea.
