Inflation concerns are up. Unemployment fears up. Income hopes down. Confidence in the White House at record lows. Whether it’s perception or reality, people are nervous—and they may be right.

Not only do we routinely see kids dying in ICE custody, now they’re missing nearly 1000 people who were being held in Alligator Alcatraz?

HOW THE HELL is this not a stop the presses moment?

We can only hope it’s not a Brubaker moment.

Pritzker: What's at stake here is free speech. It's our constitution and our way of life. Do we really want the president intimidating people, organizations to get others fired? People ought to be standing up and speaking out.

It is not about Kimmel or what he said. It is about the US government forcing a network to fire someone - no government should have that power. If the network decided this on their own, that’s one thing. But in this case they absolutely did not.

Retired FBI agents issue a dire warning: “The aim is to transform the FBI... into a personal enforcement arm of a political figure. We have seen these dynamics abroad—leaders who demand loyalty from security services not to the law, but to themselves. These regimes do not end well”

Trump resumes his policy of separating children from their parents, and is lying about it, "The New York Times has uncovered at least nine cases in which parents have been separated from their children after they refused to comply with deportation orders."

If someone doesn’t ask Karoline Leavitt why she posted on social media that this bill includes no taxes on Social Security when she knows it is a lie and she intentionally lied to the American people, everyone in the room should lose their jobs.

Sharp new response from Zohran Mamdani, hitting back at Trump's threats:

"His statements...attempt to send a message to every New Yorker who refuses to hide in the shadows: if you speak up, they will come for you. We will not accept this intimidation."

Trump told West Point cadets at their graduation that he wouldn't be able to shake their hands, a tradition among US presidents, because he had urgent matters to deal with on China and Russia.

This was him "dealing" with China and Russia moments later. He went golfing.

NBC reports that, shockingly, during his latest Moscow pilgrimage Witkoff met with Putin and his two negotiators alone and without his own interpreter, relying - in breach of protocol - on a locally present one www.nbcnews.com/world/russia.... However, this seems half the problem (1/n)
Trump envoy relied on Kremlin interpreter in meetings with Putin to end war in Ukraine
Using the Kremlin’s interpreter was “a very bad idea” that put Witkoff “at a real disadvantage,” Michael McFaul, a former U.S. ambassador to Russia, told NBC News.

Remember Ben Johnson is the podcaster who acknowledges having taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from an arm of the Russian Ministry of Propaganda (he insists that although he knew the money came from Moscow, he didn't know from what entity, exactly).

I've been clear: if President Bukele doesn't want to meet here in D.C., then I intend to go to El Salvador this week to check on Kilmar Abrego Garcia's condition and discuss his release.

Kilmar was illegally ABDUCTED and deported by the Trump Admin. He must be brought home NOW.

New pod: Fox News has become like "North Korean television," says historian Nicole Hemmer. Fox hosts are mostly engaging in shameless sycophancy for Trump. But a few Fox figures are telling the truth about this fiasco.
