For years I thought American kids ages differently than Scottish ones because I'd see these 'high schoolers' on American shows, who in reality were adults playing 14 year olds.

This makes sense to me, quiz shows are popular and ITV have commissioned some of the best and have a huge library. Ridiculously cheap to make too. Hopefully it's not just repeats and they make some original programming for the channel. Britain loves a quiz.
