View from the “Cloud”. The sharp eyed amongst you will have noticed the scene is enhanced by the two bottles thrown in the field some thirty yards from the path.

This is a table of the number of blunders and mistakes horses made when ridden by UK jockeys over chases and hurdles 2019-2023. (Thank you @proformracing.bsky.social) I look a limit of 800 rides to qualify and kept in retired jockeys for comparison
Redone correctly!

There’s a bit of discussion about the Welsh giving the official name Eryri to Snowdon.
This is not a big problem, Welsh is not a terribly difficult language and its spelling is pretty much phonetic.
I’ll never speak it like a native but I can say hello and order a beer.
Just learn some Welsh😀

So after walking 4000 miles non stop in 2022-23 around the Coast of England and Wales I had my right hip replaced in May this year.
Today is the first time since I did some rough walking over the local hills.
Good to be starting back.

Decide to have a slow cook over the weekend. Get a swede at Tescos
Young lad on checkout looks at it suspiciously.
“what is it ?”
“It’s a swede”
“I’ll have to find the code”
He spends a little while typing into the system.
“I’m sorry I can’t find it, how do you spell swede?”

Everyone needs to understand that the biodiversity crisis isn’t just some vague academic concern for ecologists to flap about, it’s literally a threat to our continued existence.

Eg: bats die off, insect numbers explode, more insecticide is used, and babies die.

This is a Bechstein’s bat. They are rarer in the UK than rocking horse droppings. I found this one in bird box in my orchard
