Combine it with an economic development plan w/ major investments to attract high paying jobs that will almost exclusively be filled by people moving here (e.g., Rivanna Futures, UVA Manning Center), and it's a plan that endorses displacement and dooms many households to further housing insecurity.

As far as I can tell, it's a huge recommitment to locking in the status quo. No expansion of the growth area, next to nothing to make sure that the growth area is built to maximum density, and no vision for anything new or different.

Yes, city cops. Their press release includes an out-right lie by saying the briefings are happening in "established community meetings." I can't speak for Rose Hill on Thur, but AFAICT the press release is the very 1st notice of a Tuesday PM meeting in Fifeville (the neighborhood assoc. meets Thurs)
