like this man is so self-serving and has used trans people to make his name and launch himself into publications like the NYT where he gets to play Guy With Reasonable Concerns who lands on whichever side of the fence is politically advantageous.

That it is, or is not, decidedly a “constitutional crisis” does’t mean much if there is no mechanism for repair.
