I'm gutted by Robin Smith's death. As a cricket-loving kid in Hampshire, he was my hero. A gentle, warm, man who was scintillating to watch - yet treated terribly. And who went through the wringer of self-doubt on and off the pitch.
Farewell Judge. You were, simply, brilliant. I'll miss you.

It's fair to say his personal life remains a trickier thing to process than his career. But musically, I think it's hard to think of anyone in my lifetime - perhaps the last 100 years - that more genuinely deserves the accolade of genius. (6/6)

Luxembourg has the most brilliant trolling of tourist: you arrive on the fringe of this vast gorge - like Edinburgh or Lyon - linked by several bridges and with swathes of greenery far beneath. Then you descend and find a river with slightly less water and grandeur than a small bottle of Sprite
