No joke, just amazed someone wrote a play about a chemistry professor. Normally, the closest thing to a play in our field happens during the skits at grad school departmental Christmas parties.

After 4 years and 5 months in the grinding American research system it was jarring to think that you could learn enough Organic chemistry to work on a professional level without spending 70-80 hours a week in the lab with almost no vacation.
