Let’s hope not, he’s been benched by Atlanta for a reason.

Literally started playing BO6 today...

I meant his performance this season is an anomaly compared to the rest of his career so far. He wouldn’t be my choice but I’m sure you’re right, they will consider it. They would have competition though.

Likely to be expensive and risky too. His season in MIN is an anomaly. There's a good chance he'll revert to type and his floor is a concern.

No thanks, they’ll be picking 5-8 so should use their first on a QB. They’re going nowhere but .500 mediocrity without finding their franchise guy so need to take as many swings as they can.

I imagine they've seen enough to evaluate Jameis. I'd be surprised if they keep him for 25. After this year KS/AB will be facing a 'prove it' season so I don't think they'll want to ride that rollercoaster. If he struggles against KC they might see a positive in giving DTR some game time.

If they plan to move on from Winston then we'll probably see DTR at some point, possibly the last three games.

I’m sure that’s true, he was popular with his teammates in Tampa and NO. He’s also letting them evaluate others on the team for next year, esp the WR room. If he keeps games close they could play him for the rest of the year. Right now I’m not sure he’s the guy for 2025 though.

I think they'll want to continue their evaluation of Jameis and will probably play him for the next two games, which are a tough test. If they lose them both they could well go to DTR.

This is what worries me about Darnold. His stock has risen dramatically on the basis of a small sample. I think there’s a high chance he could return to type.
