The way that most ICE divers ignore all sensible efficiency tips (tyre pressure, empty the car of unnecessary weight, drive sensibly etc) suggests petrol is way too cheap.

I believe strongly that Christmas is a three day festival and keeping it short makes it so much better. It's ok to have winter festivities throughout the season but maybe tone down the Christmas bit. I realise I'm fighting a losing battle though

Somewhere like Osaka Umeda has some nice outdoor spaces as well, it's not all malls.

And it's shopping malls, offices, restaurants of all different types. I suspect some commuters live almost exclusively within these places.
