And now what is to prevent other nations from doing the same to our citizens and our vessels?

Will the Committee be permitted to use the term "climate change"?

Historically cults tend to splinter following the death of the founder as different factions compete for control.

To be fair, if you were a fascist like Stephen Miller you wouldn't like it either.

Okay. I've made my point. Have a nice day.

I have no problem with you disagreeing, I just think you are wrong. Reagan was very bad. Nixon too. But Trump is existentially catastrophic. One can reasonably differentiate them.

The yellow building in the center of the photo is the Slater Mill. First textile mill in America. Powered with green energy, it ignited the industrial revolution in North America.
September 26, 2025 at 6:17 PM
Yes, very bad, I agree, but it is still a reasonable position to have supported Reaganism and now reject Trumpism. It seems to me that Tom Nichols' most common theme is that the left should encourage conservatives to make this distinction, as many (not enough) have.
September 26, 2025 at 6:11 PM
Sure you can. It's a reasonable and quite common position among conservatives. I think Reagan's policies were bad for the country, but not at all comparable to the catastrophic horrorshow Trump is inflicting on the world.

Trying and succeeding are two different things. But I see now you intended sarcasm, which often doesn't carry well online and results instead in confusion.

I read it twice. Are we talking about the same Ron Reagan Jr??
August 10, 2025 at 3:29 AM
Good for you - bon voyage!
August 10, 2025 at 3:27 AM
What?
August 10, 2025 at 3:25 AM
Oh jeez. Okay. Have a lovely evening.
August 10, 2025 at 3:24 AM
Thanks. Fair. The qualification makes it all a bit tautological, but fair. I think people comfortable in their "faith" are often happy to let others be, and to find their own way.

Do they go about demanding that others agree with them?
August 10, 2025 at 3:14 AM
What about non-aggressive atheists and non-aggressive evangelicals?
August 10, 2025 at 3:08 AM
You're joking, right? Sarcasm often does not carry well online.
August 10, 2025 at 3:06 AM
It's helpful to explain and post. Most folks are not familiar with BLS and process because they never had any reason to be - now they do.

Her testimony is not needed - just listen to the victims. They were there.
