Now, I could just turn the page and move on to the season the lies ahead, but I’m not going to. I am not taking the high road and I surely will not be excited about any game for the rest of the season.

Normally a matchup with the Dolphins means offense at a premium but this time it’s the Bills next chance to prove they really didn’t have to do anything at the trade deadline. For the Dolphins it’s one game closer to a top 5 draft pick. Tua also sits on the precipice of taking the league lead on interceptions, he currently sits in second with 11 INT’s behind Geno Smith’s 12.

Normally a matchup with the Chiefs means we get Allen vs Mahomes and who is better and etcetera, but this matchup this year seems like it’s talked about for what both teams are lacking. The Bills in the regular season in the Josh Allen era have only lost one time to the Chiefs. The playoffs are quite another thing entirely.

70 carries for 468 yards in his last 3 games. That is Rico Dowdle’s stat line. Bills defense is 28th against the run allowing 5.8 yards per carry this season. That’s the matchup to watch against the Panthers. Larry Ogunjobi and Michael Hoecht are coming off suspension and will play. Maxwell Hairston activated and will see his first action of his rookie campaign.

After the bye week and the Bills are already have more questions than answers. The Patriots are this year’s darlings of the NFL. Drake Maye has impressed and the team is playing tough. Bills are coming off a disappointing loss last week and have a chance to get right before next week’s bye week. The Falcons aren’t exactly a juggernaut offense, but they have big play potential. Bijan Robinson is the team's leading rusher and receiver so I’m not giving any ground break analysis here when I say the offense runs through him.

The Buffalo Bills suffered defeat at the hands of the Patriots and it stings. I hate it more than anything. At least the Red Sox lost AMIRITE?! But there was a chance to win, and that’s what chaps me the most. This team hasn’t lost by more than 6 points since 2021! There is always a chance to win which is a testament to Sean McDermott and Josh Allen.

New England comes into town and it is also the debut the Bills Rivalries uniforms. The Patriots pose a unique test for the Bills: Division game with a team trending in the right direction. Drake Maye has 988 yards, 7TD’s and 2 INT’s on the season. New England is ranked 10th in points per game at 25.5, and 14th in yards per game at 336.3.

On paper the Buffalo Bills should steamroll the New Orleans Saints. An 0-3 dome team coming to Buffalo, but, the Saints aren’t this disheveled unit they may appear to be. Defensively the Saints rank 12th against the run and 14th against the pass. The Bills boast the NFL’s number 1 rushing offense but the Saints have the players to compete. Where I think this game can trip the Bills up is the Saints have Alvin Kamara and a 19th ranked rushing offense against a Bills rushing defense that is ranked last.

Week 3 concludes with Monday Night Football as the Lions go to Baltimore to take on the Ravens.
